The headline in the paper today made my heart leap: "Push for Labor Support." Really? I thought. It's about time! Every woman deserves encouragement when giving birth. But then I realized the story was about Obama and Clinton and trade unions. Bummer. Clearly my head is in a different place.

Lol. That was Wicked funny. Along with Labor support we need to fix a lot of things in the hospital. First I would fire Jcaho. They only serve to make more paperwork which diverts the Nurse and Doctors attention from attending to the patient. Which Sucks.,

That is really funny. :-)

I read your book last week, found your blog today, and just read your entire birth story. Thanks for sharing that. And thanks for writing your book! I am pregnant with my first and as my pregnancy has progressed, I've learned more and more about birth and am getting more and more fired up about birth practices in the US. I'm fortunate that the hospital where I plan to give birth is very open-minded and doesn't require a lot of the standard interventions. I also have an OB with the soul of a midwife who spends at least an hour with me during every visit. Although, she probably won't end up attending my birth, the hospital has midwives always on call, and she said I could definitely just request one them instead of the OB on call. She said the midwives often take her patients.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for writing your book. I actually just recommended it today on my blog and put a link to your blog. :-)
