Your book for instance Birth is one of them. I am curious to know if you are an evolutionist. Your book refers to that but I only have gotten to chapter two in it and my curiosity became the better of me. The cover of the book says The surprising History of how we are born. If you believe in evolution my thoughts are this. Where did you get the information, how did you discern if that was the absolute truth or not, what facts do you have if evolution took place millions of years ago with no seen knowledge of it when it happened that you have the right to call it history when in fact that it may not have happened?

In all honesty I am not trying at all to make you upset or anything. I just wanted to know before I picked your book up again to read it. I know I will have to read it for my schooling and hope you will answer my questions as well as you can. But I need to know how you have come up with this way of thinking and put it in a book and call it history.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23685740.post-31655456186147379862016-05-22T14:23:35.266-07:002016-05-22T14:23:35.266-07:00The reason Dr. Tuteur focuses on Certified Profess...The reason Dr. Tuteur focuses on Certified Professional Midwives is because studies have shown that homebirths attended by CPMs have a death rate 3-8x higher than hospital births (including a study conducted by the Midwives Alliance of North America). Comparing CPMs to midwives in other countries is disingenuous because their education and licensing requirements are far below those of midwives in the Netherlands and comparable countries. Women who choose to birth at home in the US deserve competent and educated midwives on par with the midwives who attend homebirths in the Netherlands, Canada and other nations.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23685740.post-25258620590976237262014-09-25T15:35:19.476-07:002014-09-25T15:35:19.476-07:00Yes, this! She turned footling breech right before her high risk induction at 35 weeks. That doctor, was "unavailable" for whatever reason though. My thought after watching the first episode was that these NHS nurses actually served an important but unintentional role in helping transition birth to the hospital. They brought more of the tools and procedures - that we've since seen are not helpful - that people came to expect with "modern" care. That first episode especially was an interesting combination of the 'heart' of homebirth midwifery as it's practiced in the US today, and the more invasive techniques that are more routine in the hospital nowadays. sbeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08574879436640220309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23685740.post-54057025516734212632012-09-19T06:24:57.470-07:002012-09-19T06:24:57.470-07:00Quite helpful information, thanks for your article...Quite helpful information, thanks for your article.Janishttp://interactiondesign.sva.edu/member/446187/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23685740.post-36042214523206226262012-09-04T06:11:43.282-07:002012-09-04T06:11:43.282-07:00Your posts are all very informative and helpful, e...Your posts are all very informative and helpful, especially to women.
